Tender Defender

Tender Defender (ex-Latterman) streaming s/t mini-LP & touring

Last year, former Latterman members Phil Douglas, Mattie Canino and Pat Schramm formed Tender Defender and released the song “Hello Dirt,” which basically picked up where Latterman left off (a very good thing). That song now appears as the first track on their self-titled mini-LP, which Dead Broke Rekerds is releasing on pink and splatter vinyl this April. The whole thing is now streaming online though, and like “Hello Dirt,” it’s ripping, throat-shredding melodic punk that’s instantly likable if you already dig the members’ other bands (which, in addition to Latterman, includes Iron Chic, RVIVR and more). Listen below (via Noisey).

The band is also going on a tour, which includes a few Northeast US shows and then a bunch of dates in Europe. They play their hometown of Long Island on April 9, and a Brooklyn show on April 12 at Saint Vitus with Mikey Erg, Shellshag and Couple Hundo. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Shellshag have other dates too, and so does Mikey Erg. Iron Chic open the Silent Majority reunion show at Vitus. All Tender Defender dates are listed below…
