Hope Sandoval Record Store Day release

Tendril Tales is Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star's label; website launches, RSD release already on eBay

Hope Sandoval Record Store Day release

When Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions announced a new record in March, I didn’t pay much attention to the label part, but was reminded of it last night with the discovery of a mysterious website located at tendriltales.com. So far the site is just two pages. The first features a creepy black and white old-timey gif of a girl dribbling a floating skull. Click that to get to a page that features a short similarly-scary video that stars Hope.

The label’s first release comes this Saturday for Record Store Day. As previously posted:

On April 16th, 2016 Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions will release a limited edition 7-inch red vinyl record for Record Store Day. Released on their own label Tendril Tales, “Isn’t It True” comes backed with “She’s In The Wall”, written and performed by The Warm Inventions partnership of Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star) and Colm Ó Cíosóig (My Bloody Valentine) with additional musicianship from Jim Putnam (Rader Bros).

“Isn’t It True” is the very first material to be shared from the band’s third full length new album. “She’s In The Wall” is exclusive to this Record Store Day release.

No more details have been announced about the full length, but somebody already listed the Record Store Day release on eBay (jerk!), so now we have a back cover scan of that one. That’s it above (thanks John Crawford for finding that). Front cover art is HERE.

Meanwhile, Hope Sandoval lent her vocals to a song on the new Psychic Ills record, and you can listen to that NOW.
