that time PRINCE played guitar for SHARON JONES... (watch)

Sharon & the Dap Kings opened one of Prince’s MSG shows in January 2011. Sharon, Binky Griptite and the Dap-King horn section also joined him during his encore performance of “A Love Bizzare.” Sharon said:

“Out of all my years coming up, I never got a chance to see Prince live, so sharing the stage with him at Madison Square Garden was a dream come true. It was an honor and a privilege to perform with him, and as you can see in the video [that no longer is public] I was on Cloud 9. He’s such a spiritual, humble, warm-hearted man and I feel blessed just to be able to meet him.”

Six months later Sharon and the band were playing a show in Paris when suddenly Prince returned the favor. Check out the video above!
