From our review of the February 2016 show:

Carnegie Hall is not exactly known for wild crowds, but Iggy Pop got people on the feet and running down the aisles with a cover of “Jean Genie.” “There’s probably not anyone in the audience who doesn’t know that was a David Bowie song,” Iggy rightly remarked, saying he did it not just as a tribute to his friend and collaborator, but “it’s also just a cool song and you want to do it whenever you can.”

This was the annual Tibet House Benefit Concert, which has been going since the ’80s, and happened last night. Iggy headlined the show and finished the evening with “Tonight,” Bowie’s duet with Tina Turner. Here Sharon Jones took Turner’s spot and by the end of the song, almost everyone who had been on the stage earlier in the night were back out for this. (FKA twigs and her band were the only ones missing.)

More photos from the night HERE, and listen to Sharon singing with Lou Reed.

Rest in Peace, Miss Sharon Jones.
Rest in Peace, David Bowie.
