The 1975 announce two new albums, share "Give Yourself A Try"

The 1975 will follow 2016’s overblown but often awesome I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it with their third album — which has the very 1975 title of A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships — this October, and they’re already planning to follow that one with another album, Notes on a Conditional Form, in May 2019 (as they said on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show). Lead single “Give Yourself A Try” came out today, and going by the sound of this song, it looks like The 1975 are continuing to change things up in interesting ways. This one’s backed by a bare-bones drum machine and a squeaky, distorted guitar, and Matty Healy touches on some darker topics than you might expect from his sugar-sweet melodies. Listen below.
