The Antlers teasing return?

The Antlers haven’t released a new album since 2014’s great Familiars and they haven’t played a show since 2015, but it looks like that may be about to change. They just changed their Facebook profile picture to a plain white square, and while that doesn’t actually tell us anything, moves like that are usually a sign that news is coming soon. Will they release a new album? Or celebrate their breakthrough album Hospice which turns 10 this year? Or none of the above? Stay tuned!

UPDATE: According to a screencap shared on Reddit, The Antlers will be reissuing Hospice on double white vinyl for its tenth anniversary, due out March 8, 2019. They’re also playing some acoustic shows, with frontman Peter Silberman, drummer Michael Lerner, and “old friends and guests” (multi-instrumentalist Darby Cicci is no longer with the band), where they’ll perform Hospice in its entirety. Stay tuned for those shows to be announced.

In 2017, Peter Silberman released his excellent solo debut, Impermanence.
