The ARChive of Contemporary Music having two-week summer sale

NYC’s ARChive of Contemporary Music usually does a huge annual record sale around the holidays, but this year they’ve got a big summer sale planned so the vinyl-hounds (and CD hounds) can get in on the action early. It happens from June 11-26 at ARC’s headquarters in Tribeca (54 White St). Highlights of this year’s sale include:

SUMMER specials – The most 7″ 45 RPM records we’ve ever offered. Amazing selection. Many at way below value prices! We have gone through our 45s from A to K and we were able to find hundreds of great records that were extra copies that will be available for sale. We only have two weeks to sell them, so we are pricing them low.

Lots of rare LPs by David Bowie, and 12″ singles by Prince!

Over 10,000 singles never before offered PLUS tond of Jazz LPs.

PLUS – what? LOTS of LPs? Yes, and more. Incredible selection of CDs now sold at low prices • box sets • original vintage ’60s psychedelic posters from the Grande Ballroom in Detroit • RARE Fillmore East programs • picture discs • vintage rock + music magazines • shelves of amazing jazz books • most classical LPs are 2 for $1 • DVDs + VHS + LaserDiscs, too. • New items put out every day!

If you’re look to trim down your collection, you can donate to ARC  — they will come and pick up your unwanted CDs or vinyl, and it’s tax deductible.
