The Avalanches are back, playing Primavera Sound & other festivals (no new music announced yet)

Enigmatic Austrailian sample wizards The Avalanches dazzled folks with their 2000 debut album, Since I Left You, and have been promising a follow-up for over 10 years, putting them in My Bloody Valentine/Guns N’ Roses territory. Still no word on that new album, but yesterday The Avalanches’ Twitter and Facebook pages got a facelift, and now comes word that they’ve been added to the lineup of Primavera Sound 2016.

There are a few other festival dates as well. All announced dates are listed, along with the amazing “Frontier Psychiatrist” video and a stream of their debut, below.
