Black Keys Let's Rock

The Black Keys announce new album '"Let's Rock,"' share "Eagle Birds"

The Black Keys recently released their first song in five years, “Lo/Hi,” and then announced the massive “Let’s Rock” Tour with Modest Mouse, and now they’ve announced their new album and released a second single. The album is also called “Let’s Rock”, and it’s being touted as something of a return to form. “The record is like a homage to electric guitar,” says drummer Patrick Carney. “We took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to.” Carney and frontman Dan Auerbach tracked it live and produced it themselves at Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, and the album has backing vocals from Leisa Hans and Ashley Wilcoxson. The new single is “Eagle Birds,” which is a little more on the retro blues side than “Lo/Hi” was. Listen to both and see the tracklist below.

The band’s tour with Modest Mouse includes a big Brooklyn show on October 15 at Barclays Center (tickets), and The Black Keys also play the recently-announced Life Is Beautiful festival. They were supposed to play Woodstock 50 but dropped off. All dates are listed below.
