The Black Queen

The Black Queen (Dillinger Escape Plan, Telefon Tel Aviv) playing shows

The Black Queen is a dark electronic project from members of various bands known for their use of dark electronics. It features vocalist Greg Pulciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan, as well as Joshua Eustis (aka Telefon Tel Aviv), and Steven Alexander (who has worked with DEP and Nine Inch Nails). They released their debut album Fever Daydream, back in January of this year, and recently have been touring in Europe.

If this all sounds interesting to you, they’ve got a handful of US live shows coming up this winter, as they’ll hit LA, San Francisco and NYC. That NYC show is at the Gramercy Theatre on December 9, where Joshua also opens with a Telefon Tel Aviv set. Tickets for that are on sale now.

Greg is also extremely busy with Dillinger Escape Plan, who are planning to break up after their current tour behind their upcoming album. Telefon Tel Aviv, meanwhile, used to be a duo, and they stopped playing shows in 2009 after member Charlie Cooper tragically died. But Joshua re-activated it as a solo project and began playing shows again earlier this year.

DEP’s Ben Weiman also has a new band, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, with members of Mastodon, The Mars Volta, and more.

All dates are listed, along with a stream of Fever Daydream, below.
