All woman collaborative series The Hum sadly lost its Manhattan Inn home when the intimate music venue and restaurant closed, but it returned this May at Good Room on Mondays, and then at Le Poisson Rouge on Thursday (5/25). LPR is the biggest room The Hum has ever been held in, but a string of fairy lights along the stage hearkened back to the decor at Manhattan Inn and an in-the-round setup with table seating kept things feeling cozy.

The Hum brings together musicians who have never collaborated before to create something new. Last night’s lineup included three pairings: Chaos Chaos with Eartheater, Deradoorian with Miho Hatori of Cibo Matto and Ikue Mori, and The Blow with Clarice Jensen. Pictures of the whole evening are in the gallery above.

Deradoorian recently played a set at FORM Arcosanti Festival. She kicks off the “Grand Ole Opera” “performative exhibition” series at Pioneer Works with a free show on June 11.
