The Charlatans played a career-spanning set @ Elsewhere (pics, setlist, video)

Long-running Manchester, UK band The Charlatans brought their first North American tour in three years to Brooklyn on Sunday for a show at Elsewhere. The band, who will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2019, have a remarkably consistent discography, with their two most recent albums — 2015’s Modern Nature and last year’s Different Days — standing up quite nicely next to ’90s classics like Between 10th and 11th and Tellin’ Stories. Led by the all-smiles, indefatigable Tim Burgess, The Charlatans played a career-spanning set at Elsewhere where great new songs like “Come Home Baby” and “Totally Eclipsing” fit in perfectly alongside classics like “The Only One I Know,” “Sproston Green,” “North Country Boy,” “Just Thinking Things Over,” and “One to Another.” Burgess dedicated a song to legendary NYC superfans Dennis and Lois who were right up front. Pictures from the show are in the gallery above, and setlist and video of “One to Another” are below.

The Charlatans’ tour wraps up tonight (10/2) in Washington, DC.
