When The Late Show with David Letterman closed up shop last month, much of the set was unceremoniously dumped outside the Ed Sullivan theater for garbage pickup. Needless to say, fans picked up on it and grabbed stuff — including the NYC backdrop. The Brooklyn Bridge and the George Washington Bridge parts of the set were rescued by The Chris Gethard Show staff. Letterman gave his blessing and now they live on as part of TGS’ set. The bridges make their debut on this week’s episode of TCGS which taped on Tuesday (6/23) and featured three live weddings:

One thing that people like to do when they get married in New York is get married in front of some of our bridges. You see it all the time. So, it’s very hard to find a bridge that fits inside a television studio, but luckily, one of my heroes David Letterman, he recently gave us the thumbs-up to use the bridges from his show. So I can think of no better way to debut them on The Chris Gethard Show than to let them serve as the backdrop of your wedding.

Best Man for all those weddings was Will Ferrell. The weddings episode of The Chris Gethard Show will air on Thursday (6/25) at 10 PM EDT on the Fusion Network.

P.S. Brooklynites can catch Chris Gethard live at Union Hall twice in July.
