The Damned celebrating ‘Machine Gun Etiquette’ 40th anniversary on tour
The Damned‘s classic third album, 1979’s Machine Gun Etiquette, turns 40 this year and the band will celebrate by playing it in full on tour. That includes a number of North American shows over the next few weeks, including Las Vegas festival Punk Rock Bowling, and shows in Chicago, Detroit, Long Beach, San Diego, and St. Louis, as well as Thornville, OH’s Camp Anarchy Festival.
The touring lineup of The Damned now includes Paul Grey, who was a member of the band during the Black Album and Strawberries era, and rejoined the group last year, alongside Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Monty Oxymoron and Pinch.
Machine Gun Etiquette contains such Damned classics as “Love Song,” Smash it Up,” “I Just Can’t Be Happy Today,” “Melody Lee,” “Plan 9 Channel 7,” and “Anti-Pope.” Listen to the whole thing below.
The Damned also have a California show this summer with L.A. punk legends, X. All dates are listed below.
