The Damned smashed it up Irving Plaza (pics, setlist, video)

Halloween is still nearly two weeks away, but Evil Spirits filled Irving Plaza on Thursday night (10/18) as gothy punk greats The Damned hit town on their current tour. In addition to tracks from their new album like “Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow” and “Devil in Disguise,” Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible and the rest of the band treated the crowd to many of their great songs, including “New Rose,” “Neat Neat Neat,” “Love Song,” “Wait for the Blackout,” “History of the World,” “Curtain Call” and “Smash it Up.” Check out pics from Irving Plaza in the gallery above and the setlist, and video of “Smash it Up” and “Neat Neat Neat,” below.

The Damned will smash it up at Asbury Park’s Stone Pony tonight (tickets) and, if you haven’t checked it out yet, you can read about what Captain Sensible is listening to these days.
