The Decemberists playing 'The Crane Wife' in full at Travelers' Rest fest

The Decemberists are bringing back their Travelers’ Rest festival for a second year, taking place from August 4-5 in Missoula, MT. The band are set to play two shows at the fest, and it was recently announced that one of them will entail a performance of their 2006 LP The Crane Wife in full.

Aside from the two headlining Decemberists shows, the festival’s previously-announced artists include Death Cab For Cutie, Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Parquet Courts, and many others. Recently, more acts have been added to the lineup, including Matt The Electrician, Ural Thomas & the Pain, Lenore, and Gaelynn Lea. Passes are currently on sale. The Decemberists’ recent Boston Calling set, meanwhile, focused primarily on material from their latest album, I’ll Be Your Girl. Their tour will bring then to the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! festival for a ticketed benefit show with M. Ward at Prospect Park on June 13.
