The Distillers tease return with new video

The Distillers

The Distillers called it quits back in 2006 after releasing three albums, two on Tim Armstrong’s Epitaph imprint Hellcat and their 2003 major label debut Coral Fang, which combined their punk roots with Nirvana/Hole style grunge and just the right amount of pop appeal. It’s a classic that still holds up very well today, and it’s always been a bummer that it never got a followup. Well, some good news: it looks like the Distillers are back. As Stereogum points out, the band just launched a Twitter page and posted a teaser video that appears to have new music. Fingers crossed for a new record and/or a tour! Watch the teaser below.

Since their breakup, singer Brody Dalle formed Spinnerette with Distillers guitarist Tony Bevilacqua, and she released her debut solo album Diploid Love (featuring members of Garbage, Warpaint, The Strokes, and QOTSA) in 2014.
