Early November The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path

The Early November playing 'The Mother, the Mechanic, & the Path' 10-year shows

After The Early November debuted in 2003 with the emo staple The Room’s Too Cold (which they played in full in 2013 for its tenth anniversary), they followed it with the ambitious, very non-emo The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path in 2006 before going on a four-year hiatus. It’s a triple album, with each disc having its own sound and concept. It had harder rock, mellower Beatlesque songs, musical-inspired songs, and more, and incorporated string and horn arrangements.

Now, the band will play shows celebrating the tenth anniversary of that album too. They say, “These shows will consist of most of the songs from the 2006 triple-album. Some of which you may have heard in concert before. Many others will be played for the first time. In addition, we will be playing a bunch of songs spanning the bands entire career.”

The tour hits NYC on January 13 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for that show are on AmEx presale now and the general on-sale starts Friday (10/21) at noon.

All dates are listed, with the video for “Hair” off disc two, below.
