The Front Bottoms, The Smith Street Band & Elvis Depressedly played Irving Plaza, do it again tonight (pics, setlist)

The Front Bottoms brought their tour in support of their new album Back On Top last night (10/14) for their first of two sold-out BrooklynVegan-presented shows at Irving Plaza. They were joined by the horn section Uptown Horns for several songs, and their rapper pal GDP joined them for one too. We got most of the new record, plus plenty of old favorites like “Twin Size Mattress,” “The Beers,” “Skeleton” and more. It was a cool night all around, with Run for Cover-via-Orchid Tapes band Elvis Depressedly and Australia’s The Smith Street Band opening.
