The Gories, Chorizo & DJ Jon Spencer @ Elsewhere (pics)

Detroit garage punk royalty The Gories played Elsewhere on Friday, April 13 which was a one-off show for the band. Mick Collins, Dan Kroha and Peggy O’Neill played a mix of Gories classics and covers like Suicide’s “Ghost Rider” and Bo Diddley’s “You Don’t Love Me” and you can check out the Elsewhere setlist, and fan shot video of a couple songs, below.

Local punks Chorizo (led by OJ from Xray Eyeballs and Golden Triangle) were also on the bill and Jon Spencer spun classic garage and soul between sets. Pictures from the whole night are in the gallery above.
