Pittsburgh’s The Gotobeds are fond of Redd Kross’ debut EP and have covered it in its entirety live many times over their course of their career. (They did it at Saint Vitus back in 2015.) They’ve now put it to tape and are releasing their own version of it, out as a 7″ via Chunklet on November 1 which they’re calling Definitely Not A Redd Kross EP. (There are only 200 pressed — order yours.) It’s pretty reverential — right down to the cover art — and we’ve got the premiere of their version of “Annette’s Got the Hits,” which you can listen to below.

The Gotobeds will celebrate the release of the EP with a show in their hometown on December 8 (venue TBA) with Honey Radar and Chunklet owner Henry Owings (who will be performing selections from his 7″ Micro-Impressions Vol 1). The band, who are making their second album for Sub Pop at Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studios, also recently reissued their debut tape on vinyl with some extras as Fucking in the Future +5 and you can stream that below too.
