The Hives & Refused began "Scream Team Tour" in Philly (pics, video, setlist)
Before The Hives‘ set got cut short, and Refused‘s cancelled, at Sonic Temple on Sunday, the bands kicked off their “Official Swedish Scream Team Tour” at Philadelphia’s Franklin Music Hall on Saturday (5/18). It’s been 20 years since their last tour together, but both are still incredibly high energy acts, making for a sweaty, well-dressed night. The Hives, who are using Queens of the Stone age drummer Joey Castillo on this tour, packed their set with classics, including “Walk Idiot Walk” and “Main Offender,” and they played new single “I’m Alive” right before wrapping up their headlining set with “Tick Tick Boom.” Likewise, Refused’s sets on this tour have included “New Noise,” “Rather Be Dead,” “Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine,” and more. Check out pics from the show in the gallery above, and videos and The Hives’ setlist below.
The Hives / Refused tour has a few more dates still to go, wrapping up in Las Vegas this weekend at Punk Rock Bowling.
