The Intelligence announce new album 'Vintage Future' (listen to the title track featuring Brigid from Thee Oh Sees)

The Intelligence 2015

Sardonic noisemakers The Intelligence are back with a new album, Vintage Future, which will be the band’s first since 2012’s Everybody’s Got It Easy But Me. Another peek into Lars Finberg’s unique, funny/cynical worldview is always welcome and Vintage Future seems especially focused. Moving to LA continues to, thankfully, have no discernible effect on his outlook. The record’s title track, featuring sometimes Oh Sees vocalist Brigid Dawson, closes the album and makes its premiere in this post. Here’s what Lars says about it:

Our last album had a kind of break-up tone to it and for this one I wanted it to have a kind of comedic/heroic taping the pieces back together vibe. The last record ended with a bon voyage/get well soon kinda song and this one ends with more of a confused robot’s valentine.

Have a listen to that confused robot valentine, below.

Vintage Future is out September 25 via In the Red. Pre-orders are available. Album art, tracklist and song stream, below…
