The Jesus and Mary Chain releasing first album since the ’90s in March 2017
Back in 2015, The Jesus and Mary Chain said they were working on a new album, which would be their first since 1998’s Munki. As recently as this past September, they said on stage that the album was “almost complete.” Now, their manager, Creation Records‘ Alan McGee, told CBC Music, “They’ve made another album! It’s a big deal! It’s unbelievable. They’ve just made an album and I’ve signed them to Warners! New album coming. It’s coming out end of next March. It’s kinda enormous!” So there you have it. The first Jesus and Mary Chain album since the ’90s will drop in March 2017 via Warner Bros (a similar relationship to their earlier albums, which came out on WEA subsidiary Blanco y Negro, which Alan also worked for).
JAMC have a few shows coming up too, around and including the stacked Houston festival Day For Night (who recently revealed their schedule). All dates are listed below.
