The KLF detail their imminent return as The JAMs (book, 3-day Liverpool event)

August 23 is rapidly approaching and that means The KLF‘s return is as well. If you’re wondering “What the Fuck is Going On,” Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty — who have reverted to their Justified Ancients of Mu Mu moniker (aka The JAMs) — have shared just that. Firstly their novel 2023: A Trilogy will be released that day via Faber & Faber. They’ve also announced details of the Liverpool event, which is a three-day symposium called “Liverpool: Welcome To The Dark Ages” which happens August 23, 24 & 25. Here are specifics, such as they are:

Day One – Why Did The K Foundation Burn A Million Quid?

Day Two – 2023: What The Fuuk Is Going On?

Day Three – The Rites of MuMufication.

The JAMs stress that “The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu in any of their various past, present or future guises will not be performing music.” Of course, given their past high-concept stunts, that could be a lie. But probably not. There are only 400 tickets available for this thing. “No guest list. No red carpet” and “every one of the 400 ticket holders will be expected to be Volunteers.” Tickets go on sale July 23 at 11:23 AM BST.
