The Lemon Twigs brought out Todd Rundgren at Coachella (pics, video)

Coachella lives for surprise guest appearances. The Lemon Twigs brought out a legend near and dear to their hearts during their Day 1 set on Friday (4/14): Todd Rundgren who is clearly an influence on the band. Micheal D’Addario introduced him as “one of our favorite artists of all time” and they performed Rundgren’s “Couldn’t I Just Tell You” (from 1972’s classic Something/Anything). The Lemon Twigs did the same at their show the previous night at Fox Theatre Pomona and you can watch video of that, and clips from Coachella, below.

Day1 of Coachella also featured sets from Radiohead, Father John Misty,The xx, Travis Scott, Mac DeMarco, The Avalanches, Guided by Voices, Little Dragon, and loads more. Check out a full set of Day 1 pics HERE and stay tuned for more Coachella coverage.
