Brooklyn’s The Mystery Lights have been making a name for themselves over the last couple years as one of NYC’s best garage rock bands (after The Fleshtones), and certainly as one of the best live shows. The band are now set to release their self titled debut album, which also marks the first release from Daptone’s new rock imprint, Wick Records. The album, out June 24, was made at Daptone’s House of Soul studio with Wayne Gordon at the controls. You can stream “Follow Me Home” from the LP, plus check out artwork and tracklist below.

The Mystery Lights are playing the Burger Beach Bash at Coney Island on June 18 (same day as the Mermaid Parade) but you can catch them this weekend as part of Jonathan Toubin’s Soul Clap & Dance Off party which is happening on Saturday, May 7 at Market Hotel. Also playing are Ian Svenonius’ Chain & the Gang and Roya. The bands start at 8:30 PM and the dance party begins at midnight. Tickets are on sale and flyer for Soul Clap is below.

The band will also play a record release party at Mercury Lounge on June 24 with PMS & the Mood Swings, and Barbed Wire. Tickets are currently on AmEx presale and go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 6.

The band have a few other East Coast shows coming up in June. All are listed below.
