The National, Sleater-Kinney, Ted Leo, Tig Notaro & more playing official Women’s March afterparty benefit in DC

9:30 Club Planned Parenthood Benefit

The Women’s March on Washington will take over the nation’s capital the day after the inauguration, January 21, Fiona Apple-penned chanting included. There are a whole bunch of protest benefit concerts happening this week, and here are updated highlights.

The lineup for the Funny Or Die show at 9:30 Club on January 21 — Laugh, Dance…then Get to Work! A Night of Music & Comedy to Benefit Planned Parenthood — has been announced, featuring The National, Sleater-Kinney, Ted Leo, Tig Notaro, Janeane Garofalo, Senators Al Franken and Cory Booker and more. Tickets are sold out, but you can enter a charity auction for one of 10 pairs of VIP tickets.

That’s the second show The National are playing at 9:30 Club, the first being the free show with Common two night earlier (all tickets claimed though).

As mentioned, Priests have organized a protest concert, No Thanks: A Night of Anti-Fascist Sounds, on January 20 at Washington, DC’s Black Cat, with Waxahatchee (solo), Sadie Dupuis (of Speedy Ortiz/Sad13), Pure Disgust, Marc Ribot, Flasher, Free Children of Earth, and others. Tickets are still available, and proceeds go to Casa Ruby LGBT Community Center and ONE DC.

Elsewhere: on Thursday is Immortal Technique, Jeff Rosenstock, Rebel Diaz, Sammus, Evan Greer, and Taina Asili at the Rock N Roll Hotel.
