The National's Homecoming fest announces 2020 daily lineups, MusicNOW reveals lineup

The National are bringing their fest Homecoming back for another year, which goes down on May 8 and 9 at Cincinnati’s Smale Park. As announced, the band will perform their 2010 LP High Violet in its entirety during the fest, and today, the fest has released its daily lineups. On Saturday (5/8), The National perform High Violet, plus sets from Sylvan Esso, Local Natives, Phosphorescent, Sudan Archives, and Triiibe. And on Sunday (5/9), The National will perform a more traditional set, and other acts include Patti Smith and Her Band, Of Monsters and Men, Japanese Breakfast, Hamilton Leithauser, Jay Som, Velvet Negroni, and Wussy.

Single-day tickets to Homecoming go on sale Friday (2/7) at 10am EST, with 2-Day and VIP options on sale now. Check out the full lineup below.

Meanwhile, The National’s Bryce Dessner is throwing his annual MusicNOW festival after Homecoming on both nights, with late night events happening on May 8 & 9, and a full-day schedule on May 10. Bryce says of this year’s festival, “Over the last 15 years MusicNOW has always been a celebration of our hometown of Cincinnati and place to bring new music and collaborations to life. We are so excited to present this year’s lineup in partnership with Homecoming, which features many of our favorite artists taking risks together and premiering new music for the first time. The initial idea we had 15 years ago to create a festival that could be about process and creative residencies, and making room for artists with diverse educations and backgrounds, remains a huge part of why we do this. It’s an honor to do this in the city and in partnership with Homecoming.”

MusicNOW’s schedule includes performances from Moses Sumney, Aaron Dessner’s Big 37d03d Machine, Leslie Feist, Helado Negro, Ashley Fure, Eighth Blackbird, William Brittelle, Members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and others. Tickets for MusicNOW are also on sale Friday (2/7) at 10am EST, and you can find the full festival schedule below as well.
