the new iPhone update has David Bowie emojis; Phish covered 'Ziggy Stardust' LP in full on Halloween

Here’s a reason to updated your iPhone’s firmware. With the new IOS comes a whole bunch of new emoji, including a couple of David Bowie emojis, male and female faces bearing his iconic Aladdin Sane hair and makeup.

All the new emojis (which include a possible Harambe emoji) are detailed on emojipedia. IOS 10.2 rolled out a developer preview today, and will continue rolling out to everyone in the near future, so you can look forward to hitting your friends with Bowie-faces whenever the need strikes (no Prince emoji though?).

While on the Subject of Bowie, Phish played Ziggy Stardust in full at their Halloween show in Vegas on Monday. (They are no strangers to covering other artists’ albums in full at Halloween shows.) You can watch them play “Five Years” from that show below.
