Misfits

The Original Misfits add 2nd 2017 show & openers: Alkaline Trio, Fear, Discharge

The Original Misfits — aka the reunion of original Misfits members Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle, who first reunited at Riot Fest 2016 — recently announced an LA show for December, which they said would be their only show of 2017. That show sold out and it turns out they’re actually playing one more: Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 28. Both shows will be opened by the comparatively newer band Alkaline Trio, who clearly took major influence from the Misfits, and each also has support from another veteran punk/hardcore band: LA gets Discharge and Vegas gets Fear.

Tickets for the Vegas show go on sale Friday (9/29) at 10 AM PT witih a Citi cardmember presale starting Tuesday (9/26) at 10 AM PT.

No word yet on who’s drumming for these Original Misfits shows, but at Riot Fest last year, they had former Slayer (and current Dead Cross) drummer Dave Lombardo. At this year’s very recent Riot Fest, Dead Cross and Danzig played back to back, and they told their respective crowds that they had been planning a collaboration but it fell through.
