The People of Afropunk 2018 (pics)

Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park hosted thousands of eclectically dressed people for the 2018 edition of Afropunk Festival over the weekend (8/25-8/26). We posted about the music at the fest, including sets from Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, Pusha T, Tyler the Creator, Kaytranada, Miguel, The Internet, and more, but another major draw of Afropunk is its reputation as a hotbed of wild, creative personal style. Flowered headpieces, tribal facepaint and bold colors were all recurring themes among the looks we saw this year, but in full it was truly a showcase of no-holds-barred, anything-goes self expression through fashion. Check out pictures of some of the well dressed people we saw in the gallery above.
