The Psychedelic Furs announce first new album in 29 years, share "Don't Believe"

The Psychedelic Furs have been touring and playing the hits for nearly two decades since reforming in 2001, and co-founders Richard and Tim Butler have been talking about making a new album for nearly as long. Now they have: Made of Rain, their first new record since 1991’s World Outside, will be out May 1 (update: pushed back to July 31 via Cooking Vinyl). They made the record with Richard Fortus, who played in Richard and Tim’s popular ’90s alt-rock band Love Spit Love, and it was mixed by Tim Palmer (U2, The Cure, Robert Plant). The first single is “Don’t Believe” which has all the P-Furs signatures: crashing, tom-heavy drumming, searing lead guitar, a big chorus and Richard Butler’s distinctive vocal style.
