The Receiving End of Sirens announce reunion tour

Proggy, experimental post-hardcore collective The Receiving End of Sirens broke up in 2008 but then briefly reunited in 2010 before going inactive again in 2012. Today, they announced their first shows in eight years: a co-headlining run with Envy on the Coast.

The short tour includes NYC-area shows at NJ’s Starland Ballroom on May 14 and Long Island’s Paramount on May 18. Tickets for NJ and LI go on sale Friday (2/21) at 10 AM and the LI show has Citi/artist/venue/Live Nation presales starting Wednesday (2/19). All dates are listed below.

No word on what exactly the band’s lineup for these shows will be, but Casey Crescenzo (who left in 2006 to focus on The Dear Hunter) did take part in the last reunion. Will Ben Potrykus (who sang on their first demo before reinventing himself years later in the now-defunct indie band Bent Shapes) show up??
