The Shacks
The Shacks as a full band

The Shacks now less strange with 'Strange Boy' video release, album details, dates

The Shacks came into my life right around the time I became a regular user of messaging platform Slack. As if it wasn’t hard enough to stop accidentally typing “The Slacks”, I just also accidentally typed “Stranger Boys“.

ANYWAY, check out the new video for “Strange Boy”, by the SHACKS:

Last we spoke, The Shacks were just releasing this song, which is actually by El Michels Affair, as a single. The Shacks have since played a show at Bowery Ballroom (opening for Chicano Batman), released the above video, and released actual Shacks album details. Oh, and Shacks main member Max Shrager also just released a full EP of solo material out of nowhere.

First the new Shacks release. It’s self-titled EP, out October 7th via Big Crown.
Tracklist (via Flood):

“Strange Effect”
“Left It With The Moon”
“Orchids”
“Audrey Hepburn”
“Tidal Waves”
“Rain”
“Hands In Your Pockets”
“No Surprise” (Bonus Track)
“Strange Boy” (Bonus Track)

About that Max solo EP (which is out now):

Big Crown Records is proud to present Max Shrager’s debut EP, “Thoughts Of You.” This is a collection of songs that Max, now 20, recorded over the past 5-6 years and what he calls “the best of everything I’ve done as a solo artist up to this point.” Now dedicated to his band The Shacks, he spends most of his time focusing on writing and recording for their upcoming EP & full length due out on Big Crown in Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017 respectively. Six songs on a beautiful 10″ picture sleeve EP, another Big Crown sureshot.

Listen to to a song from that too:

The Shacks have two upcoming dates (both with other Big Crown artists):

The Shacks — 2016 Dates
Sept 15 @ Tender Trap w/ 79.5, Paul & The Tall Trees
