The Shins played Kings Theatre with Baio (pics, videos, setlist)

The Shins are on tour now in support of this year’s Heartworms, and they returned to the NYC-area over the weekend (after playing Prospect Park in June). They played Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on Friday (11/3) and The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on Sunday (11/5), both with Baio (aka Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend). We caught the Kings Theatre show, where they mixed it up pretty well between the new album and songs from their first three, most loved albums (with just one from 2012’s Port of Morrow). They did a medley where they worked a cover of The Outfield’s “Your Love” into “Girl on the Wing” and “Turn a Square,” and one where they paid tribute to Tom Petty by working part of “American Girl” into “Sleeping Lessons.”
