The So So Glos share “Missionary,” touring with The Dirty Nil and Big Ups

The So So Glos
The So So Glos at BV-CMJ 2015 (more by Amanda Hatfield)

The So So Glos recently announced a new album Kamikaze and released the lead single “A.D.D. Life.” Now more details on the album and a second single, “Missionary,” are here. As we’ve come to expect from The So So Glos, “Missionary” is the kind of anthemic poppy punk that probably could’ve landed some radio play in the Green Day/Rancid/Offspring breakout era. It probably won’t do that now, but it’ll still get stuck in your head. Check it out, with the album artwork and tracklist, below. Kamimaze is out May 20 via Votiv (pre-order).

The band will be going on an extensive tour in May and June. It includes one leg with fellow ’90s alt/punk devotees The Dirty Nil, and another with their Fugazi/Slint-inspired NYC neighbors Big Ups. The tour includes a hometown show on June 25 at Market Hotel on the run with Big Ups, and that’s one day after they play Jersey City’s Monty Hall (6/24). Tickets for both of those shows go on sale Friday (4/1) at noon. All dates are listed below.

Big Ups also have another hometown show before that tour on May 5 at Shea Stadium with Dirty Dishes, Washer and IAN. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

The Dirty Nil are currently on a BrooklynVegan-presented tour with Restorations and Creepoid, and after the So So Glos tour they’ll tour with FLAG.
