The Standells touring this spring (2 NYC shows included)

Standells

LA garage rock legends The Standells may be best known for their hit “Dirty Water” from the 1966 album of the same name, but they’ve got other great material too, like their other single from the same album, “Sometimes Good Guys Don’t Wear White” (later covered by Minor Threat) and its psychedelic opener, “Medication” (The Chocolate Watchband, who shared songwriter/producer Ed Cobb with The Standells, had a version of that one too). In 2013, they returned (without Dick Dodd [RIP]) with Bump, their first album of new material in 46 years. You can listen to that album on RDIO, hear a clip of one of its tracks and watch a recent live video of another track, below.

The Standells have also announced an east coast tour for this spring, which brings them to NYC for two shows at Lucille’s in BB King’s on April 30 (7:30 PM and 10 PM). Tickets for both of those shows are on sale now.

All dates are listed, along with those recent streams and a few classic ones too, below…
