The Underachievers released debut LP, touring w/ Flatbush Zombies (dates & videos)
NYC rap duo The Underachievers already had a couple quality mixtapes out, and earlier this month they finally got around to releasing their debut album, Cellar Door: Terminus Ut Exordium, on RPM / Caroline. The album includes a song sampling New Zealand psych pop band The Ruby Suns, another featuring Portugal. The Man, and production from Statik Selektah, Ryan Hemsworth, Lapalux, Supreme Cuts, Haleek Maul and more. You can stream it in full on NPR and check out a few tracks/videos from it below. Ahead of the album, both UA members also released solo mixtapes which you can download for free HERE and HERE.
The Underachievers will support the new album on a tour with fellow NYC rap group Flatbush Zombies, which hits their hometown on December 5 at Best Buy Theater. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/22) at noon. All dates are listed, with the videos/streams, below.
