The Weather Station ready 'Loyalty,' touring (dates, LP stream)

The Weather Station

Toronto artist Tamara Lindeman has been making music under the name The Weather Station for some time now and will release her new album, Loyalty, next week (5/12) via Paradise of Bachelors. She made the album with Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) and Robbie Lackritz (who’s worked with Feist, Jason Colette & others), recording at La Frette Studios which is housed in a French mansion along the Seine. That bucolic setting resulted in a gorgeous, pastoral record (she’s getting lots of Joni Mitchell comparisons). You can stream the whole thing now via The New York Times, and listen to one song below.

The Weather Station are currently on tour, and will be doing some North American dates with Great Lake Swimmers (who just played NYC). She won’t be with GLS when they return to play Bowery Ballroom in June, but she will be here when her tour with Andy Shauf comes to Mercury Lounge on July 15. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
