The Wonder Years

Two bands with a knack for making the pop punk formula their own, The Wonder Years and Motion City Soundtrack, are heading out on a tour together this fall. Support comes from ’90s emo devotees You Blew It!, and State Champs. NYC will get two stops: October 17 & 18 at Webster Hall. Tickets for those shows go on sale Wednesday (8/12) at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.

Both The Wonder Years and Motion City Soundtrack will have new albums out by then. TWY release No Closer to Heaven on 9/4 via Hopeless and MCS release Panic Stations on 9/18 via Epitaph. Check out two songs from each album below. The Wonder Years also play some acoustic in-stores around the release date, including Rough Trade NYC on September 9. You can get in by picking up the album from the Rough Trade store in Williamsburg. Details here.

You Blew It! will be in NYC much sooner. Their tour with Sorority Noise comes here this Friday (8/14) at Shea Stadium (tickets) and Sunday (8/16) at Riis Park Beach Bazaar (free).

Speaking of Sorority Noise, they just wrapped up a tour with Motion City Soundtrack, and now announced one with Knuckle Puck which also hits Webster Hall (the Marlin Room), on November 14. Tickets for that one go on sale Friday at noon.
