The xx played Hammerstein Ballroom last night (1/24). The show was a make-up date for their show at the Bronx’s Paradise Theatre that was supposed to happen back in October but got canceled due to Hurricane Sandy. Did you go last night? Austra, who is due for a new album sometime, opened the show and she’s still got  Sari and Romy Lightman as indispensable backing singers.

Both bands play Hammerstein again tonight (1/25) and it’s sold out. If you’re looking for something to do after the show, Austra DJs late night at Glasslands with Heathered Pearls also on the decks. Tickets are still available.
