This is Not This Heat announce final shows, playing NYC, Chicago, L.A. & San Francisco

This Heat founding members Charles Bullen and Charles Hayward starting playing together again as This is Not This Heat in 2016 to celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary and they’ve kept playing…but that’s about to end. The band just played what they called their final London show, with Heyward telling The Quietus,“This Is Not This Heat has been a fantastic experience revisiting the music from 40 years ago and playing to audiences across the world, Japan, US, Europe and UK, so much love and enthusiasm. But moving forward has always been deep inside the music and we need to resolve that contradiction.” Having recently played a few U.S. shows back in March surrounding Big Ears festival, This is Not This Heat have announced what look to be their final, final shows, including Chicago’s Thalia Hall on July 23,  L.A.’s The Regent on July 25, then San Francisco’s The Chapel on July 27 and, what they’re calling their “final International show,” Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on July 31.
