Thom Yorke soundtracks new short film for Rag & Bone (watch)
Thom Yorke has lent new music to a short film produced for fashion company Rag & Bone, his most recent in many collaborations with the brand. It stars Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver, The Fault in Our Stars) and Kate Mara (House of Cards), and takes place within a single warehouse space. The film, titled “Why Can’t We Get Along,” features many jolting camera movements, unexpected jump cuts, and strange dance moves; it’s a pretty unique way to promote clothing.
Sonically, Thom’s score harkens back to the synthetic sounds he experimented with on his last solo record Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, and it’s a great fit for the confounding visuals. You can watch the short film in full below.
Thom will be playing several shows later this year, which includes Radiohead‘s upcoming South American festival appearances, and his solo headlining slot at 2018’s Sonar Festival in Barcelona, alongside headliners LCD Soundsystem and Gorillaz. All dates are listed below.
