Thou surprise release new album 'The House Primordial' (listen)

Sludge metal greats Thou, who recently wrapped up a tour with Screaming Females and HIRS, have been talking about a followup to 2014’s great Heathen for a while now, but never gave any concrete details on the album. That is, until today, when they just surprised-released the entire thing (as Stereogum points out). It’s called The House Primordial and it’s out now on Robotic Empire. I haven’t heard the whole thing yet, but going by the first few songs, it sounds even noisier and harsher than Heathen. Listen below.
