The catalog of post punk icons and industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle is being reissued by Mute Records. Out this month are TG’s debut The Second Annual Report (which just celebrated its 40th anniversary), 20 Jazz Funk Greats, and compilation The Taste of TG (A Beginner’s Guide to the Music of Throbbing Gristle). January 2018 will see reissues of D.o.A. The Third And Final Report, Heathen Earth, and Part Two: Endless Not, followed by Mission Of Dead Souls, Greatest Hits, Journey Through A Body, and In The Shadow Of The Sun in April. You can listen to The Taste of TG below.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Second Annual Report and the reissues, Throbbing Gristle’s Genesis Breyer P-Orridge will be at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on November 24 for a 2 PM Q&A and signing. To attend the Q&A you’ll need to buy The Second Annual Report on LP or CD at the store. More information is here.

In other related reissue news, earlier this year Sacred Bones reissued two Psychic TV albums: 1984’s A Pagan Day and 1988’s Allegory & Self.

Meanwhile Genesis is currently battling leukemia and had to cancel a PTV European tour so he could get treatment.
