Thursday reveal dates for 2019 full-albums tour (including Saint Vitus)

Yesterday, Thursday teased a U.S. tour by posting the longitude and latitude coordinates of the places they’d be hitting, and now the tour is properly announced. The shows will be more Full Collapse / War All The Time performances like the ones they’ve been doing this year, and most cities will have two-night stands with Full Collapse on night one and War All The Time on night two. There’s a West Coast/Southwest leg with Vein and an East Coast/Midwest leg with American Pleasure Club. They’re also playing smaller venues than usual, and implying that this might be their last tour. They write:

It’s our honor to announce that we’ll be ending our 20th Anniversary by taking Full Collapse and War All the Time on the road, for a very limited US tour, in early 2019. When we reunited the band, two years ago, we had no idea that it would carry us through our 20th year or that we’d be selling out every show that we play in 2018. It’s been a very gratifying and humbling year for us. This tour is our attempt at saying ‘thank you’ to all of the people around the US that have supported us for all these years. We’ll be playing small venues, like we did when we began touring. At the conclusion of this tour, we intend to put an end to ‘the reunion.’ When we stopped playing last time, it wasn’t on the best of terms. This time, we get to put down touring on the very highest of notes: in each other’s lives and able to pick up and play together behind closed doors whenever we want. If we are ever able to do Thursday again, it will be a new, separate chapter. Thank you all for your time, attention and friendship.

There’s just one Brooklyn show lined up: March 17 at Saint Vitus, which is indeed a very small venue for Thursday. Tickets for the Vitus show go on sale Friday (11/2) at 10 AM.

It seemed at first like Thursday were also teasing a hometown New Brunswick show, but no NJ date is part of the new tour announcement and even the new poster has the New Brunswick coordinates at the bottom, presumably written as a signature of their hometown, not a tour date. If this really is their last tour, though, will they play NJ one last time?

Before that tour begins, Thursday have previously-announced Full Collapse/War All The Time shows in LA and NYC. The LA shows are at The Echoplex on November 16 & 17 and the NYC shows are at Music Hall of Williamsburg the week of Christmas and New Year’s (12/27, 12/28, 12/29, and 12/30). All dates are listed below.
