Thurston Moore Group & Lee Ranaldo playing NYC on Sunday

The Thurston Moore Group are currently in the US, having played Rough Trade NYC on Thursday (4/28). They would have played Austin festival Levitation this weekend, which was cancelled, but instead they’ll play another NYC show on Sunday (5/1) at Baby’s All Right. Thurston’s former Sonic Youth bandmate Lee Ranaldo (who also would have played Levitation) will open. Tickets are on sale now.

Thurston and Lee are also both playing one of the Ivan Julian benefit shows at NYC’s City Winery on May 7. Tickets for that one are still available (the other is sold out).

Earlier this week, Sonic Youth announced that they’re unearthing 1986’s Spinhead Sessions for a June release. Stream “Theme with Noise”:
