Interpol

tickets on sale for Interpol 'TOTBL' shows (which will not include Carlos D)

If you missed out on yesterday’s BrooklynVegan presale, you can try once again to get tickets to Interpol‘s Turn on the Bright Lights shows in NYC and LA with Deerhunter and Battles today.

The general on-sales for NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on September 23 and LA’s LA Historic State Park on September 30 begin today at noon EST for NYC and 10 AM PST for LA. Click those venue links to get tickets.

The only way a Turn on the Bright Lights tour would be better is of course if bassist Carlos D (who is now an actor) was back in the band. If you had any suspicion that he might be, frontman Paul Banks crushed that suspicion in a new interview with Matt Wilkinson on Beats 1. Pitchfork points out that Banks said, “There has not been any discussion. That’s a hypothetical that’s… I don’t think it’s likely that he’s going to reach out. I really think Carlos is doing his own thing now. I understand why people would be interested in that, but the reality is, the social dynamic … is that I don’t have any contact with Carlos.” You can listen to the interview below.

You can also catch Deerhunter on tour with Kings of Leon (and get $20 discounted tickets this week only), and at their headlining show at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on May 21 (tickets).
