Tiny Hazard Greyland

Tiny Hazard releasing 'Greyland' on Ba Da Bing (stream "Sharkwhirl")

Brooklyn’s Tiny Hazard have been planning their debut album for a few years now, and in that time they’ve become staples of the local live scene. Maybe you’ve seen them with Half Waif or Big Thief (whose singer Adrianne Lenker collaborated with Tiny Hazard singer Alena Spanger at the unique The Hum series a couple years ago). That debut album, which is called Greyland, is finally set to come out on February 24 via Ba Da Bing (pre-order), and we’re premiering the new single “Sharkwhirl.” It’s a chaotic song, with a totally unhinged vocal performance from Alena, furious drumming, and bursts of distortion that kinda sound somewhere between a guitar and a keyboard. It follows previous single “Sesame,” which is less spastic but equally in its own unique world. Listen to both below.

Tiny Hazard play an album release show in their hometown on March 4 at Rough Trade. Tickets are on sale now.
